Toyota has long co-sponsored the Toyota/Save Mart 350 at Sonoma Raceway, a summer NASCAR road course contest. However, locals have lashed out against the event, which takes place one hour from the Berkeley campus.

Unconfirmed reports say protesters chanted, “By this schedule we won’t abide / We must return to Riverside.”

No reports of vandalized Save Marts have crossed the press wires at time of publication.
